
Matteo Aspesi
Archaeologist and survey expert
Matteo Aspesi is an archaeologist specialised in protohistory and an expert in surveying and topography applied to archeology and cultural heritage. Since 2017 he has been a pilot of unmanned aerial systems (drones) and an operator accredited by ENAC. As an archaeologist, he has actively collaborated since 2007 in the activities of the Centro Studi di Preistoria e Archeologia of Milan and from 2015 he has been a member of the Istituto Italiano di Preistoria e Protostoria. He has worked on several research and emergency excavations in collaboration with archaeological agencies and universities.
He is specialised in aerial photogrammetry and 3D surveys, cooperating with various organisations and companies that operate both in the field of Cultural Heritage and in architecture and construction. During his activity he had the opportunity to take aerial shots of some sites of particular archaeological importance such as Sorgenti della Nova, the Isolino di Varese, the Terme di Catullo, Lars Pompeia and the Burcina Park. Similarly, we work with companies specialised in photogrammetric surveys applied to the field of architecture and civil engineering, such as Getadroner (Above&Beyond s.r.l.) and 3d Survey Drone s.r.l.
