Daniele Bursich

Archaeologist and DH specialist

Archaeologist, Daniele Bursich graduated from the Università degli Studi di Milano and he is the founder of 7emezzo.biz. This is a design studio made up of archaeologists, 3D artists, and graphic designers, which deals with promoting and disseminating cultural heritage through new technologies (Virtual Heritage). His research ranges from new photogrammetric acquisition systems (e.g. body scanners) to 3D printed dissemination ecosystems that can also be viewed through virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). During his career he has dealt with GIS data storage and management systems, web 2.0 sites, APPs, and interactive installations for museums. His fifteen-year experience boasts collaborations with many private and public bodies including the Ministry of Culture, National Museums, various research foundations and universities, with which European projects are underway. Since 2018, he has been the excavation director for the Selinus Project Archaeological Mission in Selinunte (Sicily, Italy) for professor Clemente Marconi, New York University (NYU). For some years with 7emezzo.biz he has been dealing with museum inclusiveness, producing educational aids and tactile itineraries in various national museums, including the Archaeological Gallery of the Royal Museums of Turin (Italy).
